Peace and Human Rights at Centre of Amsterdam Gandhi Tribute

Indian and Dutch participants came together in the Dutch capital for a commemoration of Gandhi’s legacy, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church news euros of Scientology Netherlands around Gandhian principles of peace, compassion and respect for human dignity.

Held at Gandhi’s statue on Churchilllaan, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. Discussions also explored future cooperation in human rights education and youth engagement.

The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is rooted in the humanitarian work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, linked the gathering to European principles of human dignity and freedom of conscience, stressing that knowledge of human rights can help younger generations contribute to peaceful societies.

More details are available in the full report on the Amsterdam gathering for peace and human rights.
